Great experience if you happen to love/enjoy Harry Potter books/movies. Exhibit is part costume and part interactive with the wristbands. We got discounted tickets on TodayTix for ~$20 and had no problem with entering the exhibit (we showed the email confirmation upon entry). Honestly for $20 hard to beat, though for the original price ~$35 a person it's a bit harder to recommend.
It was worth the money! Where was no long waiting, just a few people even on weekend but when you want to take photos at some spots, you have to wait a little. They have a lot of interesting stuff from the movie series and interactive things too using your bracelet. It was so fun and souvenir store was nice too. I recommend! 🤩
It is okay. Definitely a 3/10 if you compare it to the studio tour in England. The costumes used in The Cursed Child was probably the most unique thing they had apart from other costumes. The "interactive" portions of the tour were pretty pointless. Unless you are a very young child, you will not be amused. I definitely do not recommend the audio guide. Not really much is on there besides mostly them reading what is on the wall.
My wife and I wanted to see this exhibit since we are big into the Potter series. Let's just say, this place is awesome. It was so cool to walk around in the different Potter themed environments. Each room of the maze had a totally different feel than the previous and all were a different scene from a different movie. There were real pieces used in the films and all different games throughout the journey. You get to pick your house, pick your wand and interact with everything in the environment as you progress through your own Hogwarts journey. This was definitely a place for anyone with incredible detail and real life quality environments. I would highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to have a wonderful day exploring fantasy and magic around every turn.
If you are a Harry Potter fan, this is a must visit on your NYC journey. But even if you are not a fan, this is still a fun exhibit to see. It has many interesting and interactivity for you to play with. It tracks your score and sends you an email afterward, detailing what you did at the exhibit.
